If ever you’re in the Mission Canyon area of Santa Barbara, come see the Hillcrest Lizard at 1717 Hillcrest, just off of Mountain Drive, not from Santa Barbara’s historical Old Mission.
This beautiful mosaic sign entrancing the very new, SCOTCH BONNET restaurant and bar, 428 Chapala St., Santa Barbara, is one of the latest mosaic art commissions by artist Dan Chrynko. SCOTCH BONNET serves Spanish style cuisine with a Cuban flair. The 3rd photo down shows Dan with his interior mosaic bar creation titled, ”Who’s That Lady?” Video coming soon, will show interior and exterior.



This video, taken at Anacapa School in Santa Barbara, California, shows the mosaic boulder the students designed and helped build a few years ago with the help of artist Dan Chrynko. The students entered their mosaic boulder at the Santa Barbara Fair and Exo, winning, ”the best art entry by a school from all the Santa Barbara schools.”
